Chikmagalur Hills, a perfect place for nature lovers and artists and a perfect place for plainair paintings.
After the grand success of Koshur artwalk, a residential workshop in Kashmir and Kalatmak art expedition in Khajuraho and Orchha, our attention shifted to the captivating Chikmagalur, nestled in the Western Ghats and graced by the Yagachi river. This ‘coffee land of Karnataka’ now serves as the expansive canvas for 40 passionate artists hailing from various corners of India. Under the guidance of esteemed artists such as Puja Kumar, Rashmi Soni, and Manisha Ogale, the workshop unfolds through pleinair sessions, live demonstrations, and immersive indoor sessions.
Chikmagalur is an amazing hill station which is situated in the state of Karnataka. This is the best scenic place which maintains the pleasant weather throughout the year. The Western Ghats starts from this region and also the Yagachi river originated from the surrounding hills. Chikmagalur is considered as the ‘coffee land of Karnataka”.
About 40 Women artists cross the India have participated in this expedition and together explored the scenic beauty of Chikmagalur with their brushes n colors. Renownd artist Puja Kumar, Rashmi Soni and Manisha Ogale mentored the workshop, where we all had pleinair sessions, indoor sessions, live demonstration on various subject that was beneficial the participants.
