Timeless Strokes: Ajanta & Ellora Art Retreat 🎨✨
After remarkable success in Koshur workshop in Kashmir, Kalatmak Workshop in Khajuraho, Chimagalur Hills in Chikamagalur and kalatmak Returns in Orchha and Dharohar in Udaipur, we are thrilled to announce our next art expedition—“Timeless Strokes: Ajanta & Ellora Art Retreat.”
This immersive experience will take artists on a journey to the legendary Ajanta and Ellora caves, where ancient masterpieces carved in stone and painted on walls tell stories of a glorious past.
Ajanta & Ellora, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, stand as timeless testaments to India’s rich artistic, spiritual, and historical legacy. The magnificent murals of Ajanta bring to life stories from centuries past, while the intricately carved temples of Ellora showcase architectural brilliance.
This retreat offers a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in these artistic wonders, capturing their essence through your own creative vision.

Important Notes:
- Accommodation: Rooms will be on a sharing basis.
- Artwork Display: Participants are required to bring two paintings on Indian culture and heritage for the display on Day 4.
- Travel Plan: Please plan your travel according to the retreat schedule.

- Arrival: Check-in to hotel in Ajanta around 2 PM
- Evening: Opening get-together and in-house demo
12th June 2025
- Morning: Visit to Ajanta Caves
- Afternoon: Plein air painting session at the caves
13th June 2025
- Early Morning: Plein air session
- 12 Noon: Depart to Ellora
- 2:30 PM: Check-in to hotel in Ellora
14th June 2025
- Morning: Plein air sessions near Ellora Caves
- Afternoon: Outdoor demos
- Evening: Display of paintings for review and in-house demos
15th June 2025
- Early Morning: Plein air sessions
- Evening: Display of all works created during the retreat
16th June 2025
- Morning: Check-out
Entry Guidelines:
- The camp is eligible for 18 years and above participants.
- Entry starts from 15th March 2025 and ends on 15th May 2025
- Fee payment Deadline – 15th May 2025
- Registration Fee is
INR 22000 for Opus members.
INR 24500 for Non-members
- If you cancel the registration due to any reason till 10th may, there will be 50% refund. After that no refund.
Registration Fees without accommodation n food: INR 8000
*Fees include Hotel Stay with Breakfast and dinner + Guidance from Mentors + Bus transport from Ajanta and Ellora +Display of works +mementos and certificates
*Participants has to bring their own art materials.
